Seasoned professionals manage the daily operations of our busy 24/7/365 service.
Matthew Gau, Operations Manager
Matthew Gau is the Operations Manager at Tri-Med Ambulance, LLC. Matt has spent 15 years in the EMS industry, and has held every position at Tri-Med during his 14 year tenure. Beginning as a resident firefighter for Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety in 2001, he became more interested in the EMS side of the industry and transferred his focus to the private ambulance sector, all while embracing his unique understanding of how the service should be delivered to the Fire Departments.
Matt’s passion for providing exceptional service to our customers has blossomed from very early job experiences in retail. He has taken this along with him, believing that we should always strive to do it better, and to keep the customer more than satisfied. He also gained valuable experience at Tri-Med, starting as an EMT-Basic and working the “streets”. This experience has allowed Matt to maintain an intimate understanding of the processes and trends in the county EMS system. For several years he watched the Fire Department and Medic One in action and gained great knowledge of the expectations they have of ambulance delivery.
Matt also holds a position on the board of directors for the Central Region Trauma Council. This experience has allowed him to better corroborate King County EMS initiatives with the crew members at Tri-Med.
Matt was born in Seattle, and has resided in King County his entire life. He grew up on the eastside of Lake Washington and now resides in the Kennydale area of Renton with his fiancé and two daughters, ages 10 and 11, who are both active in soccer and dance. His education includes an associate degree in general studies/fire science, Firefighter 1 certification, and EMT-B training.
