Tri-Med Ambulance has a state of the art Bariatric unit that is equipped with the new EZ Glide Evacuation chair, a TranSafe Ramp and a Powerflexx stretcher. This new equipment provides for a safe and comfortable transport regardless of patient weight or size. With this unit Tri-Med is able to move patients around conveniently and securely in a very efficient manner.
The EZ Glide Evacuation chair is a new type of 
chair that employs a track system descending a patient slowly downstairs in a safe and controlled environment. The unit is also equipped with and TranSafe Ramp which is a loading/unloading system that eliminates any manual lifting of the patient during the transporting process therefore insuring patient/employee safety. This TranSafe Ramp handles up to 1300 pounds without any lifting, pushing, or pulling. Additionally, the Powerflexx powered stretcher is able to lift up to 700 pounds all automatically. The large body surface attaches to the stretcher creating a wider stretcher for patient comfort.
